Chair for professionals Web guide

Make your booking page live

A new booking page needs a verified owner email, current membership access and the essential business setup before clients can book. Work through the steps below, then use Online bookings in My Page to open now or schedule an opening. The business owner controls this setting; team members complete their own service, schedule or payment tasks where needed.

In this guide

1. Check your email and membership

The business owner's email must be verified and their CHAIR membership must give current access. A valid trial counts; you do not have to end it early to launch.

  1. If you see Verify your email to unlock your account, open the verification email and follow its link. Check your spam folder or select Resend email if needed.
  2. Open Billing and check the CHAIR membership status. If access has ended, follow the options shown to start or renew membership, or resolve a payment problem.
  3. Return to Dashboard and find Booking page setup. Select View all setup steps, or Review setup if the essentials are complete.

2. Add a service clients can book

A new page needs at least one visible, active service in the business menu.

  1. Open Services and select Add service, or Add your first service if the menu is empty.
  2. Enter the Service name, Price, Duration and Category. Add a Description if it helps explain the service.
  3. Select Add service, or Add service & return to setup when using the checklist.
  4. Check that the service is visible. A hidden service has a Show button; select it if you want clients to book that service.

3. Check your business location

The location requirement depends on how your business delivers its services. For a business where clients visit you, save a verified location on your booking page.

  1. For a location-based business, open My Page and expand Shop Location.
  2. Enter or check your Street Address, City and Post Code.
  3. Choose the matching address suggestion, or select Verify Address. Check the location when Address Verified appears.
  4. Select Save Location, or Save & return to setup if you came from the checklist. Wait for the saved confirmation.

4. Save your opening hours

A new page needs saved business opening hours. Choose a schedule that gives clients useful appointment times.

  1. Open My Page and expand Opening Hours.
  2. Tick Open for your working days and enter the opening and closing times. Untick Open on closed days.
  3. Select Save Opening Hours, or Save & return to setup if you came from the checklist.
  4. Wait for Opening hours saved successfully! before leaving the section.

5. Save your booking policies

You must save the default booking policy, even if you keep No deposit. Charging a deposit or adding a no-show fee is a choice.

  1. Open Booking Policies from the dashboard navigation.
  2. Review the default deposit policy and choose the option that suits your business.
  3. Review any cancellation wording and no-show protection settings you want to use.
  4. Select Save default policy, or Save & return to setup if you came from the checklist.
  5. Wait for Your booking policies are saved.

6. Complete payment setup

New pages need ready card payments and bank payouts, including when the default policy is No deposit. Submitting details is part of setup; any remaining verification must also finish.

If you work alone, follow these steps. If Dashboard opens Team for Set up payments, use step 7 to check the businesses receiving your team's client payments.

  1. Open Payments and select Set up payments.
  2. Follow the on-screen business, identity and bank-detail checks. If setup has already started, use Resume setup or Finish remaining checks as shown.
  3. Review the status and complete any remaining requests. If your account is being verified, return when the checks have finished.
  4. Return to Dashboard and check that Set up payments is complete in Booking page setup.

7. If you manage a team, check each person

A team page needs at least one eligible service offered by a bookable person whose payment recipient is ready. Each additional person needs suitable services and payment readiness before clients can book them.

Salon team means the salon sells the services and receives payment. Independent business means that professional receives their own client payments. Administration only profiles do not take bookings or need a client payout account.

  1. Open Team. If it shows Your team, add anyone missing with Add team member, enter their Name and select Add person.
  2. Select a person and open Services & booking. Check How they work and Client payments go to. Choose the arrangement available for that person. For anyone taking appointments, check Clients can book this person.
  3. Under Services offered, choose All salon services or Selected services only, with at least one service they provide. Check the prices and durations, then select Save changes.
  4. Open Hours & holidays to check their availability. Separate custom hours are optional when the salon hours already suit them; review breaks, time off and any approval requests.
  5. For Salon team, the owner completes the salon payment setup. Staff do not need their own payout account for services sold by the salon.
  6. For Independent business, open Access and select Create join code if the professional has not joined. Share the code so they can join with their own account.
  7. Ask the independent professional to verify their email or mobile number, then open Payments in the salon workspace and complete their own payment setup.
  8. If their Payments screen shows Activate for future payments, ask them to select it and finish the confirmation.
  9. Review the payment recipient and readiness shown in Team. Resolve any Payment setup needed message or service warning for the people you want clients to book.
  10. Review Team plan or Team capacity and select Manage billing to check the plan and seat count. Bookable people use team capacity; admin-only accounts do not use a paid seat.
  11. If the owner will only manage the business, review My account is admin only. Confirm any intended change after checking its effect on bookable people and seats.

8. Open now or choose an opening date

The owner manages new online bookings from one control in My Page. A saved future opening date is a schedule; clients can book when that date arrives and the required setup is complete.

  1. Open My Page and find Online bookings beneath Your Professional Page.
  2. Read the status and any listed requirements. Select Review beside an unfinished requirement, complete it, then return to Online bookings.
  3. To open now, turn on the Online bookings switch. To open later, select Schedule opening, choose a date in Open online bookings on and select Save opening date.
  4. Check the updated status. Online bookings are live means clients can book now. Opens followed by a date means bookings are scheduled. Change opening date lets you adjust a saved schedule.
  5. If the status cannot load or the setting has changed elsewhere, select Refresh status and review it before trying again.

9. Check the client view before sharing

This final check is recommended. Photos, a custom handle, a bio and social links are optional finishing touches; they do not complete or replace the launch requirements.

  1. In My Page, expand Your Professional Page and select View Page, or use Open page in Marketing.
  2. Check your business details, services and the people clients can choose.
  3. When the status is live, choose a service and check that clients can find an appointment time. If no times appear, review hours, service duration, existing bookings and time off.
  4. Once the page and availability look right, use the Share your booking page guide to copy your link or create a QR poster.
