Migrating to CHAIR

Switching from Fresha

These steps help you prepare copies of the data Fresha makes available. CHAIR does not import them automatically: submit a migration-help request and a person will review the available fields, confirm the scope, and explain the next step. Keep client data private until then.

1

Export your clients

Prepare the provider’s supported export. The CHAIR team will confirm which records and fields can be used.

  1. Open your client list

On desktop, go to Clients, then Clients list. On mobile, tap Clients in the bottom menu.

  2. Choose the export action

On desktop, select Options in the top right. On mobile, select Actions (three dots) in the top right.

  3. Export as Excel or CSV

Save the file privately. Fresha does not publish a complete column list, so keep the original unchanged and let CHAIR review its headers before any transfer is agreed.

  4. Treat extra fields carefully

Fresha separately confirms that its client export can contain email and SMS marketing choices, while staff alerts appear in a Notes column. These fields are not automatically carried into CHAIR and may need a separate privacy and compatibility review.

2

Prepare your services

Prepare the service fields your provider actually includes. CHAIR will confirm each mapping and flag variants, bundles, or staff rules that need manual setup.

  1. Open the service menu

On desktop, go to Catalog, then Service menu. On mobile, tap More, Catalog, then Service menu.

  2. Choose the export action

On desktop, select Options in the top right. On mobile, select Actions (three dots) in the top right.

  3. Export as CSV or Excel

Fresha also offers PDF, but a spreadsheet is easier to review. Names, prices, durations, categories, variants, bundles, and staff rules are only candidates when the export actually contains them; CHAIR will confirm what maps and what needs manual setup.

3

Prepare upcoming appointments

This creates a reference file for your request, not an automatic booking import.

  1. Open the Appointments list

Use the date filters to show the future appointments you want to keep as a reference for the move.

  2. Export the filtered list

Select Export in the top right, then choose CSV or Excel. PDF is also available.

  3. Include appointments in your request

The export does not move bookings automatically. Ask for upcoming-appointment help and the CHAIR team will review what can be set up.

Heads up: Fresha does not publish a complete export schema. Name and contact fields are the clearest candidates for review; marketing choices, sensitive notes, historic activity, loyalty or wallet balances, files, forms, and other profile data need separate confirmation. Saved client card details cannot be exported or transferred. A staff member also needs the “Can download clients” permission to export the client list.

What happens after you request help

  1. 1

    Your request is recorded

CHAIR shows an on-screen receipt and, when email delivery succeeds, sends a confirmation to your contact address.

  2. 2

    A person reviews the scope

Support confirms which client, service, and future-appointment fields are compatible and gives you an expected timeline.

  3. 3

    The transfer route is agreed

Support confirms an approved transfer route before asking for a file. If none is available, keep the export private and continue with the agreed manual setup. Do not attach client exports to email, live chat, or WhatsApp.

  4. 4

    You verify before going live

If data is added, compare record counts, service prices and durations, and upcoming appointments with the original. Keep your old system available until that review is complete.
