Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes. 14 days with full access to every feature, with no card required. You only add a payment method if you choose to subscribe to a paid plan.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No long-term contracts or cancellation fees. If you subscribe, you can cancel from your dashboard to stop future renewals. The free trial needs no cancellation: you are only charged if you choose a paid plan.
What happens after my trial ends?
Paid features pause until you choose a plan: Professional at £12.99/month per pro, or Team at £7.99/month per user on Team, minimum 2 users. You are not charged unless you subscribe. If you subscribe during the trial, any remaining trial days carry over before your first payment.
Do you take a cut of my bookings?
No. CHAIR charges a flat subscription and adds no markup to Stripe costs. Card-processing fees apply. Under the Stripe cost agreement in Payments, professionals also cover actual Stripe costs attributable to their own account, including Connect, payouts and disputes. Additional cost recovery starts 14 days after you accept, is itemised, and credits amounts already recovered or returned by Stripe. It is separate from your CHAIR subscription.
What happens if a customer disputes a payment?
A dispute is when a customer asks their bank to reverse a payment. The disputed amount is taken from your Stripe balance while it is investigated. Stripe's published UK pricing lists a £20 dispute-received fee and a separate £20 fee for countering a dispute manually. Winning returns the disputed amount and the countered fee, but does not generally return the received fee. Smart Disputes has separate pricing. Your applicable Stripe rates and any credits appear in your account; CHAIR adds no markup. Keep booking confirmations and other evidence, and respond before Stripe's deadline.
Can CHAIR help me move existing clients?
Yes. You can add clients yourself in the dashboard and request a free review of the client, service, and future-appointment data your old platform makes available. CHAIR confirms which fields are compatible, what needs manual setup, and whether an approved route is available for any export files.
