Does CHAIR take commission on my bookings?
No. CHAIR is one flat monthly price and we never take a cut of your bookings, deposits or tips. The only deduction on a card payment is the standard Stripe processing fee, the same rate Stripe gives any business.
Do I own my client list?
Yes. Client records you add or create through CHAIR remain under your control. CHAIR does not market them to rival businesses or sell your data, and you can export the client information shown in your dashboard.
Can I move my existing bookings and clients over?
You can request a free human review of the client, service, and future-appointment data your current platform makes available. CHAIR confirms which records and fields are compatible, what needs manual setup, and whether an approved route is available for any export files.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You get 14 days with full access to every feature on this page. Cancel any time during the trial and you pay nothing.
Which payment methods can my clients use?
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe checkout when they book. At the chair you can take cash, open a secure card checkout, show a QR code or send a payment link. Cash is free, and every payment is recorded against the booking.
Can I take deposits and protect myself against no shows?
Yes, and you choose it per service. Turn on no show protection for a service and pick one of two rules: card required, where the client saves a card or Apple Pay to book, nothing is charged, and you can charge your no show fee if they never turn up; or deposit up front, where they pay through Stripe’s checkout when they book and you simply keep it if they miss the appointment. A cancellation window on top means nobody can cancel online at the last minute. Leave protection off for the services that do not need it.
Do my clients need to download an app to book?
No. Your clients book from your own page in any browser, with nothing to install. You can run CHAIR from the web now. The iOS and Android apps are coming soon.
How does CHAIR help me get more clients?
We advertise your business to people searching in your area, and you can link your own Meta and Google ads straight to your booking page. Other platforms charge up to 35% to send you a new client. With CHAIR it’s 0%.
Can I add my team?
Yes. The Team plan is £7.99 per user a month with a minimum of 2 users, and includes a calendar for everyone, roles and permissions you control, a shared client database and team performance reports.
Does CHAIR work for my type of business?
Yes. CHAIR is built for barbers, hair salons, nail technicians, lash and brow artists, estheticians, massage therapists, spas, tattoo studios and any appointment business that wants to own its bookings.
What does CHAIR cost?
One flat monthly price with every feature included. Solo pros start at £12.99 a month, and the Team plan is £7.99 a month per user, minimum 2 users. There are no per booking fees and no hidden extras.
