Can I use CHAIR as a barber booking app on my phone?
Yes. CHAIR’s web app lets you manage your diary, bookings, payments and clients in a browser on your phone, tablet or computer. The dedicated CHAIR Pro and client apps for iOS and Android are coming soon.
How much does CHAIR cost for a barber?
Professional costs £12.99/month per bookable professional. Team costs £7.99/month per user, with a minimum of two users (£15.98/month). Online booking, deposits and client management are included on both plans. Start with a 14-day trial, with no card required. CHAIR takes 0% booking commission. Stripe processing and other applicable Stripe costs are separate.
Can I take a deposit on barber appointments?
Yes. Choose a fixed or percentage deposit for each service, or request full payment at booking. The amount due is shown before the client confirms and goes towards the appointment total. For example, you could take a £5 deposit on a £20 haircut.
Do my clients need to download an app to book?
No. Share your booking-page link on Instagram, WhatsApp or your website. Clients choose a service and appointment time, verify their details and pay any required deposit in their browser. No app download is needed.
Can I manage walk-ins alongside online bookings?
Yes. Add a walk-in or phone appointment to your calendar manually, using an existing client or adding a new one. Keeping those appointments in the same diary lets you manage your booked time in one place.
How does CHAIR compare to Booksy for barbers?
Booksy combines subscription software with an optional Boost acquisition service. Boost charges a one-time fee on the first visit from a brand-new client it brings you. Does CHAIR work for chair renters and self-employed barbers?
Yes. An independent chair renter can use the Professional plan for their own booking page, client list and service deposits. A shop using the Team plan can give each barber their own calendar, services and pricing, with employed staff and independent chair renters on one bill.
What happens after the free trial?
Paid features pause until you choose a plan. You are only charged if you subscribe. If you subscribe during the trial, your remaining trial days carry over before the first payment. You can cancel from your dashboard to stop future renewals.
